Nearly 60,000 runners will take to the cobblestones of the City of Light on Sunday, April 12, 2026, for the 49th edition of the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon. Among them, thousands of spectators and television viewers will see several French stars in action, starting with ASICS athletes Félix Bour and Mekdes Woldu.

Two of the best French runners in history over the marathon distance will make their debut in Paris: Félix Bour (2:06:41 in Valencia in 2025, ASICS athlete) and Emmanuel Roudolff-Levisse (2:07:40 in Seville in 2025), respectively the fifth and tenth best French performers of all time.

He won the honorary title of top French runner last year and will be back to tackle the 42.195 km in Paris in 2026: Jason Pointeau from Guyana (2:10:36 in Paris, personal best of 2:09:53 in Valencia in 2025) will be on the starting line.

The first female headliners promise an explosive race, with none other than the three French marathon runners selected for the Paris Olympics at the start: Mekdes Woldu (ASICS athlete), Méline Rollin, and Mélody Julien. The first of these, the fastest French woman in history (2:23:13 in Barcelona in 2025), whose momentum was cut short by a foot injury that forced her to withdraw from the Tokyo World Championships marathon, intends to give her best performance and will take advantage of a high-level race to improve her personal best.
