1) OUR COMMITMENT TO THE PROTRCTION OF YOUR DATA

Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), a limited company with a capital of €61,200,240 registered with the RCS of Nanterre under number 383 160 348 whose registered office is located at 40-42 Quai du point du jour, 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt, (hereinafter "We") knows how important is Your Privacy for You  and recognizes the importance to protect Your Data and Privacy.

This Privacy Policy  (hereinafter "the Policy") explains how A.S.O. , Data Cotroller of  Your Data, collects and processes Your Personal Data on the https://www.schneiderelectricparismarathon.com/fr Site  (hereinafter "the Site").   It contains information about the types of Data We collect, how We process them, for which purposes, and the measures We implement to process it securely and adapted to Your needs and expectations.

The use of the Site implies that You accept that Your Personal Data will be processed as indicated in this Policy as well as in the General Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter "Terms") available HERE.

The French version of this Policy is the only one that is authentic and prevails over any translation.

2) DEFINITION

In this Policy, capitalized words or expressions refer to the terms defined in the General Terms and Conditions of Use and, failing that, will have the definition of Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (known as "GDPR"):

"Consent" of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous authorization by which the data subject consents, by a clear affirmative action, to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.   Your Consent will be required prior to deposit any cookie in the terminal You use to connect.

"Personal data" (hereinafter referred to as "Data") means any information relating to an identified or  identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to  as "data  subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by  reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, a telephone number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to its physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. A cookie is Data from the moment it allows You to be identified. Its deposit is subject to Your Consent.

"Event" means the gathering of athletes participating in a physical activity, competitive or non-competitive.

"Applicable Regulations" means Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms as amended, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data,  and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), and any other applicable regulations on the protection of personal data, cookies or cybersecurity.

"Data Controller" means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing. In this case, A.S.O. may be considered as Data Controller when it is the Organizer of an Event.

"Joint Data Controller" means the legal entities that jointly determine the Data to be collected, the Purposes of Processing Your Data and to respond to You when You exercise Your rights.

"Processor" means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller. A.S.O. may be considered as a Processor when it organizes events on behalf of other Organizations, for example.

The terms "you", "your" refer to you as a user of the Site.

3) TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED BY A.S.O.

A.S.O. only collects Data about You through Cookies, which are personal data. On the other hand, the social networks through which You can follow the Event page collect Data about You, if You have an account opened in their space.

In its guidelines on "cookies and other tracers", the CNIL has determined which Cookies are exempt from Consent and which require Your Consent. In order to enable You to give Us Your Informed Consent, We have set up a Preference Centre with the Data Processor One Trust.

3.1. third party Cookies

Since A.S.O.  does not manage cookies placed by third-party sites, whether they are "targeting cookies" or "social network cookies", We are not responsible for the use they make of your Data. We invite you to read their privacy policy and cookie policy to understand the use that is made of Your Data. You can also learn how to disable them by following their instructions.

3.2. Targeting Cookies

These cookies are placed by Our Partners or most of all, by Social Networks when You visit Our official pages or. These cookies allow them to send to You targeted advertising based on Your interests. They can also limit the number of times an ad is offered to You.If You disable these cookies, You will continue receiving advertising that may not match Your interests.

3.3. Social media Cookies

These cookies come from third-party applications and allow you to follow the Event on its official page in Social Networks. These cookies also allow Social Networks to offer you personalized advertising based on your interests.

(1) Meta, buttons of the Meta, Facebook, and Instagram applications

Our Site has implemented a Facebook and Instagram button to allow you to visit the Facebook and Instagram pages of the Event.  In this case, Meta Platforms Inc.  is considered as Joint Data Controller. Indeed, Meta Platforms Inc. collects your data as soon as you open a site in which this Facebook pixel is located and tracks your navigation in all Sites.Meta Platforms Inc.  is a Joint Data Controller and you can find all the information required by Article 13(1) (a) and b) GDPR in the data policy of Meta Platforms on https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.

Further information on how Meta Platforms Inc. processes personal data, including the legal basis on which Meta Platforms Inc. relies and the means available to data subjects to exercise their rights against Meta Platforms Inc.  can be found in Facebook's Data Policy available at: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.

However, once you are redirected to the Event's Facebook or Instagram page, Meta Platforms Inc.  becomes an "Independent controller" because Facebook and Instagram are the only ones to decide what data to collect, the purposes of the processing of your data and you will have to contact Facebook to exercise your rights.

(2) Twitter button

Our Site has implemented a Twitter button to allow you to follow the Event on Twitter. In such a case, Twitter is considered a Joint Data Controller. Indeed, Twitter collects Your Data each time You click on the Twitter button on Our Site.Twitter is a Joint Data Controller and You can find all the information required by Article 13(1) (a) and b) GDPR in Twitter's data policy at: https://twitter.com/en/privacy .

Further information on how Twitter processes personal data, including the legal basis on which Twitter relies as well as the means available to data subjects to exercise their rights against Twitter, can be found in Twittter's Data Policy available at https://twitter.com/en/privacy .

However, once you are redirected to the Twitter page of the Event, Twitter becomes an "Independent controller" because Twitter alone decides what data to collect, the purposes of the processing of Your data and You will have to contact Twitter to exercise your rights.

 

(3) Youtube button

Our Site has implemented a Youtube button to allow you  to watch the videos of the Event corresponding to the current edition and to previous editions of the marathon.  In such a case,  Youtube  is considered as a Joint Data Controller and collects Your Data each time You click on the Youtube button  on Our Site.
