Due to flooding of the Seine, organizers, in consultation with the City of Paris and the Paris Police Prefecture, have decided to make a very slight modification to the route of the 2024 Schneider Electric Paris Marathon at Parc Rives de Seine. The section from the Henri IV tunnel to the Tuileries tunnel is now inaccessible, so competitors will traverse the high quays instead of the low ones. This change does not deviate from the original course plan, which was approved by FFA officials several years ago in anticipation of Seine flooding.
The organizers, along with the City of Paris and the Prefecture, extend their best wishes to the 54,000 participants expected on Sunday.
